Veronika Bolotina is a multidisciplinary artist, film director, and writer currently based in Berlin, Germany. Originally born in Belarus, her creative journey has taken her through prestigious institutions across Europe, including art college in Minsk, media design studies in Germany, and a master’s in directing and acting in London. This diverse background allows her to merge various mediums, seeing beyond the traditional limits of a single art form. Veronika Bolotina is recognized for creating films that are visually poetic yet deeply rooted in social relevance, often sharpened with a layer of satire and absurd humor. Her professional portfolio includes short films like 'I don’t know', music videos featured in prominent industry magazines, and her debut feature project 'I can’t change anything', which received support from Hessen Film & Media and the Torino Lab. Beyond the camera, Veronika Bolotina is an active stand-up comedian, a practice that informs the timing and wit found in her cinematic work. She has been awarded multiple scholarships, including from the DAAD and Hessen Film, and her projects have screened at international festivals such as Interfilm Berlin and the Aesthetica Film Festival.
