Desmond Sweeney, who previously operated under the moniker 8footwalls, brings over a decade of experience in creating hand-painted murals for commercial venues and private residential commissions across Australia. His work is characterized by soft faded tones and a dreamlike sense of nostalgia, often depicting seascapes and landscapes that connect interiors with the natural environment. Desmond’s extensive background includes five years as a Scenic Artist for Opera Australia and teaching roles at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and the Fremantle Arts Centre.
