Sanchita Pasi Abstract Contemporary Art and Textural Painting
Sanchita Pasi is a self-taught Indian contemporary abstract painter whose work is deeply rooted in the synaesthesia art movement. Born in 1990 in New Delhi and having lived across Egypt, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and Spain, her diverse geographical background informs her sensory interpretation of the world. Sanchita Pasi began her artistic journey in 2017, transitioning from brushes to knife palettes to better express trapped energy and complex emotional states. Her technique involves merging colors without blending them, creating a stroke matrix where each layer holds specific energetic ties. Her first solo exhibition, Broken Colors, held in Milan in 2022, showcased her ability to harmonize polarities through texture and light. Beyond her canvas, Sanchita Pasi maintains a unique balance between her logical career in healthcare venture capital and her creative night job. Her art is further influenced by spiritual practices such as yoga and pranayama, emphasizing a quest for grounding and balance. By inviting viewers to become spectators of her ritualistic process, she creates a multi-sensorial path of communication that allows others to find a window into her identity and inner emotional landscapes.
