Sally Muir: Contemporary Dog Portraits and Fine Art Paintings
Sally Muir is a highly acclaimed contemporary artist and author based in Bath, United Kingdom. She is best known for her prolific work as a portrait painter of dogs, a passion that culminated in her celebrated project "A Dog A Day," which featured 365 daily artworks of various breeds and was later published as a book. Muir’s artistic practice extends beyond canine subjects to include human portraits, landscapes, rodents, and birds, all rendered with an effortless and emotive style. Before focusing on fine art, Sally Muir enjoyed a successful career in the knitwear industry as a designer and author for Muir & Osborne. Together with partner Joanna Osborne, she co-authored several popular knitting pattern books, including the "Best in Show" series.
