Kunstraum LLC: Interdisciplinary Artist Hub and Contemporary Gallery

Kunstraum LLC is a pioneering interdisciplinary artist hub, incubator, and gallery space located in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Established in 2015 by an interdisciplinary team of artists, curators, and architects, the organization was born out of a necessity to create a supportive community and foster deep collaboration among various creative disciplines. Kunstraum LLC operates within two beautifully renovated factory lofts near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, providing roughly 2,000 square feet of space dedicated to studio work, networking, and contemporary art exhibitions. The mission of Kunstraum LLC is to redefine how artists and curators collaborate by opening its gallery space to engaging ideas, unconventional thinking, and risk-taking projects. The organization is particularly known for its competitive Artist-in-Residence and Curator-in-Residence programs. The residency offers national and international artists a three-month term that includes studio workspace, monthly studio visits from New York curators and critics, and participation in the annual Members' Show. These programs are designed to promote international mobility and visibility for emerging and mid-career artists. Beyond residencies, Kunstraum LLC maintains an active exhibition schedule featuring both established and emerging voices. Their programming includes group exhibitions like '7 Women 7 Sins' and 'Territorio Posible,' which explore themes of identity, urban life, and social transformation.
