Kim Yunkyung: Contemporary Visual Artist and Sculptor Specializing in Installation Art
Kim Yunkyung is a South Korean visual artist and sculptor whose work delves into the profound relationship between the human body, architectural space, and medical concepts. Holding a Ph.D. in Fine Art from Hongik University and an MFA in Art Practice from Goldsmiths University of London, she has established herself as a significant figure in contemporary art. Her academic background also includes degrees from Ewha Woman's University, providing a strong foundation in sculpture that informs her innovative installation projects. Throughout her career, Kim Yunkyung has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the 13th Kim Chong Yung Prize for Sculpture and the Prix Whanki Competition.
