Julia Casesnoves Visual Artist and Fine Art Photographer

Julia Casesnoves is an accomplished visual artist and fine art photographer based in Valencia, Spain, whose work is defined by a deep, contemplative connection to the natural environment. Her artistic process is built upon an aesthetic experience of walking through parks and gardens, where she constructs subjective landscapes from intimate encounters with ordinary natural elements. By focusing on flowers, plants, and trees, she seeks to reveal the extraordinary within the everyday, creating a universe that reflects both the unconscious and the vibrant vitality of nature. Having trained at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya and the EFTI school in Madrid, Julia Casesnoves possesses a multidisciplinary background that integrates influences from poetry, philosophy, and spirituality. Her notable projects, such as the acclaimed Pond series and The Song of Trees, have earned significant international recognition. Her accolades include a Gold award at the Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA) and honors from the Prix de la Photographie Paris (Px3) and the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards. Her work has been showcased in prestigious venues across Europe, including the PH21 Gallery in Budapest and the Parallax Art Fair in London. Through her lens, she explores the nuances of the natural world, evolving her photographs into visual poems that transcend simple documentation to capture the essence and sensations of the landscape.
