YYYYMMDD: Virtual Archive and Aggregator for Contemporary Art Exhibitions

YYYYMMDD is a virtual archive, dialogue platform, and exhibition aggregator established in 2015 by Daniela Grabosch and Ricardo Almeida Roque. Operating from Vienna, Austria, the project serves as a “museum without walls,” meticulously curating and documenting contemporary art exhibitions from diverse international galleries. YYYYMMDD provides an intellectual meeting point for artists, curators, and the public, featuring a wide range of content including exhibition photography, curatorial texts, and the “10+Questions” interview series. Notable artists featured in the YYYYMMDD archive include Donna Huanca, Rachel Maclean, Tarek Atoui, and Siggi Sekira. The platform emphasizes a strong theoretical and intellectual perspective, functioning as a bridge between physical exhibition spaces and the digital realm. Supported by Cargo Collective, YYYYMMDD continues to expand its “Hidden Archive” and “Selected Features,” offering a comprehensive resource for contemporary artistic research and visual documentation. The archive serves as a permanent record of impermanent exhibitions, ensuring that the work of artists and curators remains accessible to a global audience long after the physical shows have concluded.
