Tali Kimelman - Artistic Photography and Alexander Technique Education

Tali Kimelman is a professional photographer and Alexander Technique instructor based in Montevideo, Uruguay. With a unique background that includes computer engineering and medical imaging—specifically knee MRIs—Tali transitioned to photography in 2004 during a trip to Japan. Her career has spanned several years in advertising photography, where she created intricate and fantastic worlds for various clients. However, her personal creative journey eventually led her towards nature, resulting in projects like 'Baño de Bosque' (Forest Bathing) at the Arboretum Lussich. This project, which became a book-herbarium, marked a significant shift in her practice toward acceptance and mindful observation. In addition to her photographic work, Tali Kimelman is a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique and practices Non-Violent Communication. She integrates these disciplines into her unique educational offering, the 'Laboratorio de la Mirada,' where she teaches others how to strengthen their creativity and attention by bridging the gap between internal awareness and external visual expression. Her portfolio includes expertise in portraits, editorial stories, architecture, gastronomy, and commercial play. Tali provides individual and group classes, mentorships, and specialized workshops focused on the art of seeing. Through her photography and educational practices, Tali Kimelman invites her audience to explore beauty, balance, and a more conscious way of responding to life’s stimuli, moving beyond automatic reactions toward a path of creative freedom.
