Stella JIang | Performance and Interdisciplinary Artist from Taiwan
Stella JIang is a performance and interdisciplinary multimedia artist based in Taipei, Taiwan. Her practice centers on the body as both medium and site of inquiry, engaging with themes of social norms, gender, labor, time, and public visibility. Working across live performance, participatory actions, installation, and documentation, she often brings her work into everyday urban spaces to encounter audiences beyond conventional art venues. JIang works invite direct interaction and shared authorship, encouraging participants to reflect on their own roles within social systems. Her artistic approach emphasizes process, presence, and embodied experience, using simple yet symbolic materials to open conversations about personal memory, collective pressure, and emotional labor. Alongside her performance practice, she works with writing, film photography, and multimedia creation as extended forms of artistic research. Her projects have been presented in public spaces, cultural venues, and independent art contexts in Taiwan.
