RAUCH OFFSPACE: Non-Commercial Project Space for Art and Design

RAUCH OFFSPACE is a non-commercial project space located in Krefeld, Germany, that has been active since 2020. The project focuses on the intersection of art, design, and pop culture, aiming to provide a vital presentation platform for young international artists. By hosting a diverse range of exhibitions and artistic events, RAUCH OFFSPACE seeks to enable sustainable connections and promote meaningful encounters and exchanges within the creative community. The space is situated in Krefeld's Südweststadt and operates as an independent, free-thinking venue for contemporary exploration. One of the distinctive features of the project is the Pool Board Series, an innovative exhibition format dedicated to graphic design. This series utilizes a large six-meter-wide and four-meter-high billboard located near the gallery to bring digital content and artistic interventions into the public realm. By reclaiming unused public spaces that often go unnoticed, RAUCH OFFSPACE demonstrates how vacant urban areas can be creatively utilized. Additionally, the project extends its reach through Rauch Frame, a digital format that highlights inspiring artists through interviews and concise features, showcasing diverse perspectives online. Under the curation of Erkan Demiroglu, RAUCH OFFSPACE has hosted significant shows such as the International Experimental Poster Design series and its five-year anniversary exhibition. The project remains committed to its mission of fostering a dynamic environment where contemporary and timeless elements of visual communication can harmonize and engage the public. Through its multi-layered approach—combining physical gallery exhibitions, public billboards, and digital features—RAUCH OFFSPACE continues to serve as a significant facet of the local and international art world.
