Hohyeon Yun: Motion Graphics and New Media Art Specialist
Hohyeon Yun, professionally known as RAF THE CREATOR, is a new media artist and graphic designer whose practice is characterized by an instinctive and confrontational approach to visual representation. Yun focuses on art direction, visual effects (VFX), and both 2D and 3D motion graphics. His artistic methodology involves the deliberate disruption of established visual logic through techniques such as distortion, variation, fragmentation, and recomposition. By exposing the process and embracing heterogeneous structures, Hohyeon Yun encourages a re-seeing of images and objects in a digital context. Yun is currently pursuing an MFA in Media Art at Yonsei University and holds a BS in Electronic Engineering with a minor in Fashion Design from Gachon University. This unique combination of technical and creative education informs his experimental digital work. His professional experience includes a significant body of work for prominent cultural and corporate institutions in South Korea. He has designed moving posters for the K Stage Festa, SPAF, and PAMS, and produced digital showroom content for LG AI Research. Additionally, his portfolio features collaborations with the Seoul Museum of Art on the 'Christian Hidaka' project and the National Theater Company of Korea. Throughout his career, Hohyeon Yun has participated in various fellowships and artistic initiatives, such as the Super Testbed - Active Kinetic Lab and the Artist Upscaling program. His work consistently seeks to merge advanced digital techniques with bold aesthetic choices, resulting in a provocative and evolving body of new media art that challenges the viewer's perception of existing imagery.
