Pani Jurek Sculptural Lighting and Artistic Design Studio

PANI JUREK is a design studio combined with a ceramics workshop, run by Magda Jurek and Micha Borecki. It operates at the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and art. The objects created by Studio Pani Jurek go beyond their stereotypical functions, with interactivity being an inherent feature. Conceived as elements of spatial compositions, they often change depending on their surroundings and users. A distinctive trait of the studio’s projects is color – a result of Magda Jurek’s background in painting. While functionality is not the starting point in the creation process, it is never neglected. Ergonomics and design discipline help tame imagination and material. A fascination with materials – especially ceramics – and a deep respect for their possibilities and limitations are evident in every object created by Studio Pani Jurek. Objects created by Pani Jurek Studio are part of the collections of the National Museum in Krakow and the National Museum in Warsaw.
