I am an artist based in Seoul, South Korea. My practice involves creating digital images and remixing them to reproduce visuals that are simultaneously distinct yet inherently interconnected. This process is grounded in the concept of 'Visual Djing'. just as a musical track is reimagined through featuring or genre-blending, I utilize images as a medium for diverse remixes. Through this methodology, I seek to expand the boundaries of an image's originality and broaden the spectrum of its inherent possibilities. Because my work is rooted in this systematic remixing, it transcends the limits of traditional drawing, allowing for versatile applications in design and branding. Beyond methodology, I wish to address the underlying philosophy of my work. My creative pursuit is the deliberate exclusion of narrative, history, and emotion from the image. By detaching from the various values tide to reality, I focus exclusively on pure form. My work is a quest to create an 'absolute image'-one that can be appreciated entirely for what it is, liberated from the instability of real-world contexts.
