Noam Dover's creative work

Noam and Michal | Innovation in Digital Fabrication and Craft

Noam and Michal is a collaborative design and craft duo based in Ein Ayala, Israel, comprising Noam Dover and Michal Cederbaum. Their creative platform is dedicated to exploring the boundaries between traditional handmade techniques and modern digital fabrication. Specializing in glass, ceramics, and textiles, the duo utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to create unique objects that serve as a dialogue between historical craftsmanship and contemporary technological potential. Noam Dover, an industrial designer and glass specialist with an MFA from Stockholm's Konstfack, brings technical expertise in glassblowing and material production. Michal Cederbaum, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, integrates visual communication and textile arts into their shared practice. Together, they have pioneered techniques in studio-scale 3D printing for glass and ceramics, often inspired by archaeological forms such as the amphora. Their work is characterized by a commitment to open-source technology and knowledge sharing. Noam and Michal have achieved international recognition, with their work exhibited at premier venues including Design Miami, Milan Design Week, and Heller Gallery in New York. Their pieces are held in prestigious public collections, such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Design Museum Holon, and the Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv. Both Noam and Michal are active in the educational sphere, serving as lecturers at Bezalel Academy, Holon Institute of Technology, and Wizo Design Academy, where they continue to inspire the next generation of makers through their unique blend of cultural heritage and innovation.
