Ludivine Clarens / Contemporary Visual Art & Abstract Installation
Ludivine Clarens is a Paris-based contemporary visual artist born in Toulon. Her artistic practice is deeply rooted in the exploration of natural fragments, including minerals, liquids, and the human body, which she reinterprets through painting, drawing, and volume. She is particularly known for her use of unconventional materials, such as nail polish, alongside acrylics, pastels, and colored pencils, to create abstract works that interrogate the concepts of femininity and 'apparat' (outward appearance) in the modern world. Having spent fifteen years managing communication and image for prestigious fashion and beauty houses, Ludivine Clarens brings a unique perspective to her work, focusing on the dialogue between appearances and the industrial impact on the environment. Her educational background includes the Ateliers de Sevres, Ecole Estienne, and Ecole Olivier de Serres. Based in Paris, her work has been showcased in various personal and collective exhibitions, including 'Debordements Emotionnels', 'Pagale', 'OSD,' and 'A White Board' at the Brunner Showroom. Her installations and abstract series continue to evolve, reflecting a commitment to interrogating the delicate balance between the human experience and the natural world.
