Lina Bou: Artist Working Between Painting and Culinary Composition
Lina Bou (b. 1988, Dalarna, Sweden) is an artist and cook whose work bridges visual art and culinary practice. With over a decade of experience across both disciplines, she has developed a distinctive language grounded in material intelligence and sensory awareness. Her paintings explore color relationships, gesture, and quiet symbolism, while her edible works translate similar concerns into taste, texture, and structure. Rather than separating studio and kitchen, her practice considers them extensions of one another — spaces where composition, timing, and intuition converge. Her projects range from exhibitions and limited editions to site-specific dinners, residencies, and commissioned works for cultural spaces, hospitality contexts, and selected brands. She is the founder of Culinate Collective, a nomadic creative culinary studio developing workshop-based formats internationally, and Ronia Terra, an edition-focused project centered on printed works and cyclical publications. Available for selected collaborations and commissions.
