artist, researcher and designer based in London, UK
Kseniya Oudenot is a multi-award-winning fine artist and designer currently living and working in London, UK. Her artistic journey began with training in academic painting, which she later expanded through studies in Performance Design at Central Saint Martins College, University of the Arts London. Kseniya’s early career was marked by the use of high-tech materials, leading to exhibitions at prestigious venues such as the Science Museum in London and the Science Gallery in Dublin. Recognized as a “Best New Talent” by publications including Vogue and The Wall Street Journal, she has transitioned her focus towards fine art. Currently, Kseniya Oudenot is conducting research at the Royal College of Art, where she investigates the intricate connections between human thought, perception, and the visual language of patterns. Her creative practice is deeply rooted in the exploration of how internal cognitive processes translate into physical forms. Through the use of repetition, structure, and disruption, her work mirrors complex societal patterns and draws inspiration from natural phenomena like bird flight formations, sacred geometry, and aerial landscapes. A distinctive element of her work is the integration of text and symbols, which are often hidden or subtly visible. These elements serve as metaphors for the coded nature of language and thought, acting as triggers or echoes of specific mental states rather than direct communication. Her portfolio spans both painting and sculpture, reflecting a sophisticated intersection of science, philosophy, and visual art.
