International Studio & Curatorial Program: Supporting Artists Worldwide
International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) is a premier nonprofit residency institution based in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 1994, the International Studio & Curatorial Program has grown into one of the most comprehensive international visual arts residency programs in the world, having hosted over 1,900 artists and curators from more than 90 countries. The organization operates within an 18,000 square-foot former factory building in East Williamsburg, providing 35 light-filled work studios and two dedicated galleries. The International Studio & Curatorial Program manages two primary residency tracks: the International Program, which brings global practitioners to New York City, and the Ground Floor Program, which supports New York City-based artists with subsidized studio space. Dedicated to fostering professional growth and cross-cultural dialogue, the International Studio & Curatorial Program offers residents a robust schedule of core activities, including studio visits with guest critics, organized field trips, and public artist talks. The program's twice-yearly Open Studios events serve as a vital platform for visibility, allowing residents to present their work-in-progress to the public and the local arts community. As an anti-racist organization, the International Studio & Curatorial Program is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, actively working to integrate historically marginalized voices into its exhibitions and educational initiatives. Through its integration of residency programs and free public programming, the International Studio & Curatorial Program continues to serve as an essential mediator in the global contemporary art landscape.
