Inga Kaupelytė: Contemporary Painting and Ceramic Art

Inga Kaupelytė is a Lithuanian artist currently based in Barcelona, Spain, who specializes in contemporary painting and ceramic art. Born in 1983, Inga Kaupelytė began her formal artistic training at the age of twelve and later graduated with a Bachelor in Audiovisual Arts from the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts. Her diverse career includes experience as an Art Director and Designer in the advertising industry before she returned to her roots in fine art. The work of Inga Kaupelytė is defined by a mission to express the energy and vibrations that shape the world. Describing herself as a transcendental painter, she balances on the thin line between figurativism and abstraction. Her paintings often feature metaphysical bird-feather motifs that serve as a bridge between the material and spiritual realms, exploring themes of transformation, renewal, and transcendence. Drawing inspiration from philosophy, spiritualism, and quantum physics, she uses brushstrokes that emulate the flow of life. Inga Kaupelytė has exhibited her work extensively across Europe and Mexico. Notable career milestones include being a finalist at the 38th edition of the Premio BMW de Pintura in Spain and showcasing pieces at the MO Modern Art Museum in Vilnius and The Other Art Fair in London. Her artistic practice encompasses oil on canvas, paper collages, and ceramics, each medium allowing her to investigate the sublime experience of sensing rather than simply seeing. Through her art, Inga Kaupelytė invites viewers to witness frozen moments of existence and embark on a transformative journey.
