Ahmed Harfoush is an acclaimed Egyptian jazz vocalist and entertainer with a distinguished international career spanning over two decades. Based in London, Ahmed Harfoush has established himself as a prominent figure in the global jazz scene, performing at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Dubai Opera, and various international jazz festivals. He is the founder of The Egyptian Jazz Projekt, a unique musical venture that reimagines classic 1950s and 1960s Egyptian pop songs through the lens of American jazz and swing. This project has received international acclaim for its sophisticated fusion of cultural heritages, bridging the gap between the Middle East and the West. In addition to his work with the project, Ahmed Harfoush leads the Harfoush Jazz Band and frequently performs with the London Jazz Trio. His repertoire is extensive, encompassing jazz standards, swing, musical theatre, and contemporary hits. A graduate of London's Mountview Academy for Theatre Arts, he co-founded the Cairo Jazz Festival and has contributed significantly to the development of the jazz scene in Egypt. Known for his velvet voice and charismatic stage presence, Ahmed Harfoush continues to tour extensively, performing in cities like Paris, Berlin, Vienna, and Rome. His work represents a masterful blend of nostalgia and innovation, celebrating the golden age of music with a modern, cosmopolitan flair.
