Anastazja Gibas: Contemporary Paintings and Art Prints

Anastazja Gibas is a contemporary artist based in Kraków, Poland, currently pursuing her studies in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) and holding a degree in Art History from the Jagiellonian University. Her creative journey began at a very young age, leading to her first exhibition at the age of ten, where she showcased paintings on silk. Over the years, she has developed a distinctive style that merges personal narrative with experimental techniques. Between 2022 and 2024, Anastazja Gibas expanded her artistic horizons through an Erasmus+ exchange at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy, where she held several solo exhibitions in Florence and Albenga. The core of her work revolves around the Portuguese concept of 'Saudade'—a profound, untranslatable feeling of longing for moments that have passed or for things that may never have fully existed. Anastazja Gibas captures the fragility of memory and the impossibility of returning to the past, creating a visual space between forgetting and remembering. Her portfolio includes striking pieces such as 'DOTYK, KTÓRY ZWIĘDŁ,' 'PAMIĘĆ MIĘŚNI,' and 'TAM, GDZIE COŚ SIĘ ROZPADŁO.' Each work serves as an emotional vessel, aiming to communicate subtle feelings that words often fail to express. In addition to her original paintings, she offers a curated selection of fine art prints, calendars, and vouchers through her official shop. Anastazja Gibas remains deeply connected to her community, having previously organized exhibitions linked to charity auctions for children's hospices. Today, her practice continues to evolve in Kraków, where she explores new ways of storytelling through visual media and high-quality artistic prints.
