Eugene Ofori Agyei: Interdisciplinary Ceramic Artist and Educator

Eugene Ofori Agyei is a Ghanaian-born artist and educator based in the United States, known for an interdisciplinary practice that investigates complex themes such as migration, identity, and the fluid concept of home. His work seamlessly integrates ceramics with textiles, wood, found objects, and performance to create profound narrative installations. Eugene Ofori Agyei earned his Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Art from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana before completing his Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics at the University of Florida. His artistic contributions have been recognized with numerous prestigious honors, including the Robert C. Turner Teaching Fellowship at Alfred University, the Carlos Malamud Prize, and fellowships from the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA). Eugene Ofori Agyei has exhibited his work extensively across the United States at institutions like the American Museum of Ceramic Art and the Harn Museum of Art. Internationally, his practice has been highlighted in solo exhibitions at Die Neue Sammlung – The Design Museum in Munich.
