Es Nova // Music for Experience and Visual Arts

Es Nova is an artistic and musical hub that brings together multiple languages, aesthetics, artists, and diverse visions. Founded in 2015 by Nicola Rosti, Erica Agostini, and Alice Drudi, the collective has undertaken an ongoing journey of research and evolution through ambient music, minimalism, avant-jazz, electroacoustic music, and prog-rock — ultimately shaping its own distinct aesthetic. Through sound art and improvised music, Es Nova expresses its language within contemporary art galleries, museums, performance spaces, cinemas, and theaters. There are no scores, songs, or predetermined compositional structures. Instead, the artists engage in dialogue through intuition and improvisation, letting the flow of musical events guide what unfolds. Since 2022, Es Nova has embraced its true essence in creating music for immersive journey, in close dialogue with the visual arts. With twelve official projects and numerous collaborations with renowned artists and performers, the collective continues to expand the boundaries of artistic expression.
