Elpida Zacharaki - Multidisciplinary Calligraphy Artist and Designer

Elpida Zacharaki, professionally known as Vatomouro, is an Athens-based multidisciplinary calligraphy artist and designer. With a background in Art and Design from Middlesex University and experience as an Art Director in the advertising sector, she transitioned to full-time independent artistry in 2020. Elpida Zacharaki specializes in the craft of handmade calligraphy, using traditional dip pens, brushes, and ink to create expressive and dynamic letterforms. Her studio, Vatomouro Atelier, offers a wide range of services including bespoke calligraphy for weddings, luxury brand activations, and on-site engraving for corporate events. Elpida Zacharaki has collaborated with numerous prestigious international brands, such as Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Hermes, and Lancome, providing live calligraphic elements that enhance VIP experiences and customer engagement. Her work is inspired by nature, ancient Greek manuscripts, and medieval art, blending historical techniques with contemporary design principles. In addition to her commercial projects, she is a dedicated educator, teaching calligraphy workshops at institutions like Mikro Polytexneio and Tatoi Tennis Club.
