Digitaliseum: International Gallery of Contemporary Digital Art
Digitaliseum is an international non-profit and artist-run gallery located in Malmö, Sweden, specializing in the exhibition and promotion of contemporary digital art. Founded in 2014 by Fredrik Weerasinghe, the space is situated in the city's old industrial harbour district, serving as a hub for both Swedish and international creators who work within digital and technology-based formats. The gallery showcases a wide spectrum of media, ranging from virtual reality and interactive installations to software-based art and digital narratives. Digitaliseum's mission is to provide a platform for new, emerging, and established artists to explore the intersection of technology and creative expression. By offering free admission and maintaining a curated program of diverse exhibitions, the organization fosters dialogue between the digital art community and the public. As a registered trademark and a member of the Swedish Association of Curators, Digitaliseum is supported by Malmö Stad and various collaborative networks, reinforcing its role as a significant cultural institution in the Nordic region's digital art landscape.
