David Bloch Gallery: International Contemporary Art Space and Exhibitions

David Bloch Gallery is a prominent contemporary art institution that has been a cornerstone of the artistic scene in Marrakech since its founding in 2010. The gallery is dedicated to fostering and promoting a diverse roster of approximately twenty emerging and established international contemporary artists. A key focus of the gallery’s mission is the development of long-term artistic collaborations, where significant value is placed on the moral convictions and conceptual depth of the artists and their subsequent work. Over twelve years, the gallery has a prolific history, having organized more than 100 exhibitions. This includes 40 solo shows held across various locations such as Marrakech, Casablanca, and Fez, as well as international art hubs like Paris, New York, and Basel. In the summer of 2022, the original gallery location on rue des Vieux Marrakchis closed, marking a transition to a more dynamic operating model. Today, the gallery maintains a new showroom in downtown Marrakech, specifically in the Guéliz district on Rue de Yougoslavie, which is accessible by appointment only. Their current activities are heavily focused on a strong online presence and curated pop-up exhibitions held outside traditional gallery walls, allowing for a broader global reach and flexible engagement with the contemporary art market.
