Christine Toelle: Curatorial Practice and Cultural Research Portfolio
Christine Toelle is a prominent Indonesian art practitioner, curator, and researcher currently based in London while completing an MA in Social Anthropology at SOAS, University of London. Her professional practice is centered on the critical intersection of materialities, decolonial perspectives, and Indonesian cultural history. Throughout her career, Christine Toelle has served in pivotal roles at major institutions, notably as the Education and Public Programs Coordinator at Museum MACAN and as a programme manager for the Gerilya Artist Residency Program and Selasar Sunaryo Art Space. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Bandung Institute of Technology, Christine Toelle integrates practical creative foundations with academic rigor. Her curatorial projects and critical writings have been featured by the Goethe Institut Indonesia, Salihara Art Centre, and the British Art Network.
