Cable Depot Sofia 39 Stefan Stambolov Boulevard Sofia 1303, Bulgaria Cable Depot is an intentional contemporary art gallery based in Sofia, with representatives in London and Torino. Cable Depot Sofia opened in March 2025 and is directed by owner Iavor Lubomirov. The gallery exhibits artists whose practice is of institutional standard, with many represented in international museum collections and shows. Lubomirov is drawn to art with a heavily intellectual and conceptual basis, with a particular interest in artists who approach painting through sculptural, performative or other means outside the canvas. Cable Depot primarily works with research based artists and curators, whose projects typically extend over years or decades. The gallery’s mission is to discover and develop international art with depth, power and longevity that can only come with a signifiant investment of time by the artist and the gallery. Cable Depot embodies a belief in global citizenship through art, promoting inernational collaboration between artists, curators, galleries, institutions and collectors. Cable Depot Sofia hosted Bianca Boeckel Galeria from Brazil in 2025 and First Floor Harare gallery from Zimbabwe in 2026. In turn the gallery will be hosted in Harare and Sao Paulo in 2026 and continues to seek growth through exchange of artists, spaces and collaborations at art fairs.
