Art Experience Uruguay: Promoting Visual Arts and Cultural Events

Art Experience Uruguay is a dynamic platform dedicated to bridging the gap between the visual arts community and the general public. Founded by artist and cultural manager Myriam Zini, who has been based in Montevideo since 2016, the project emerged from a need for a centralized calendar and agenda for visual arts in Uruguay. In 2024, Art Experience Uruguay received significant recognition by being selected for the Fondos Concursables para la Cultura, allowing for the expansion of its team to include co-founder Ana Strauss and the development of a more robust digital presence. The organization offers a wide range of services, including a comprehensive agenda of upcoming exhibitions, guided tours, artistic workshops, and interactive talks designed to foster synergy within the art world. Beyond local events, Art Experience Uruguay provides updates on international biennales and exhibitions featuring Uruguayan artists abroad. By mapping the national art scene and making information accessible across multiple platforms—including their website, Instagram, and dedicated WhatsApp groups—the project aims to democratize art access for diverse audiences and age groups. Myriam Zini’s background in curatorial practices and Ana Strauss’s experience in visual arts and literature combine to create a multidisciplinary approach that strengthens the visibility of local artistic production and cultural institutions.
