Anna Hajkova's creative work

Anna Hajkova: graphic designer and illustrator

Anna Hajkova is a graphic designer and illustrator born in Rivne, Ukraine. Grew up in Koice, Slovakia, where studied at the Technical University of Koice. During the studies, participated in Erasmus exchange programs in Graz and Plze, experiences that played an important role in shaping visual thinking and creative direction. Working independently under her own name — Anna Hajkova — the practice is rooted in traditional printmaking techniques such as screen printing, lithography, and linocut. Hands-on work with handcrafted graphic processes established a strong foundation for illustration, influencing both visual language and attention to detail. These principles continue to be applied in professional projects today. Currently collaborates with design studios on visual identity projects, where illustrations help define brand character and enrich storytelling. Also illustrates for the children’s magazine Bublina, creating imagery driven by emotion and narrative. Alongside commissioned work, time is dedicated to oil painting as a complementary form of artistic expression. The creative process is led by emotion, guiding the search for form and meaning. Each project begins intuitively, translating personal perception and feeling into visual compositions that balance structure, sensitivity, and expression.
