Angel de Soto: Art Director and Visual Artist
Angel de Soto is a multidisciplinary creative whose practice bridges the gap between traditional fine art and contemporary digital design. Born in Cuenca, Spain, Angel de Soto's artistic foundation was deeply influenced by the emotional depth and intensity of Spanish expressionism. This early fascination with paintbrushes and canvases eventually evolved into a professional career that integrates screens and digital tools, allowing him to work across various media. After relocating to Madrid, Angel de Soto worked as an Art Director and Creative Assistant at the contemporary artists' agency Ink and Movement. During this period, he collaborated closely with world-renowned artists such as Okuda San Miguel, Fidia, Misterpiro, and Spock. His experience at the agency provided him with a unique perspective on the intersection of urban art and professional design. At the age of 24, Angel de Soto moved to Berlin, Germany, to further his professional growth. In Berlin, he joined Tamschick Media+Space, where he applied his creative vision to large-scale international projects. Notable contributions include conceptual design work for 'The Line' in Saudi Arabia and the artistic integration of the new Mumbai airport in India. His portfolio includes solo and group exhibitions like '1098' at Galeria Celda trazos and 'Urbanigramas' in Madrid. Beyond his design and art practice, Angel de Soto is also an educator, sharing his expertise in Japanese bookbinding and the creation of pop-up books. His work remains a reflection of his journey from the traditional art scenes of Spain to the global creative landscape of Berlin.
