Andrew Robert Munn is a highly accomplished bass and collaborative artist who works at the intersection of classical music, performance art, and social activism. Trained at prestigious institutions including The Juilliard School, Bard College Conservatory, and the University of Michigan, Andrew Robert Munn has established a robust career performing on world-renowned stages such as Carnegie Hall, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and the Salzburg State Theater. His repertoire is extensive, encompassing principal operatic roles, oratorio, and intimate song cycles. A defining feature of the career of Andrew Robert Munn is his commitment to exploring ecological and political themes through the arts. This dedication stems from his previous experience as a community organizer for climate justice in the Appalachian mountains. His creative projects often interrogate the relationship between humanity and the natural world, such as his concept for “Winterreise in a post-Winter World” and his work as a librettist for the operatic exploration “Making Tellus.” In addition to his solo work, Andrew Robert Munn is a founder of the collaborative hub and duo Chimera alongside pianist Rami Sarieddine.
