Ali Gulec is an Istanbul-based artist and graphic designer renowned for his distinctive visual style that explores the intersection of the macabre, irreverent, and absurd. As the founder and owner of ikiiki Design Studio since 2006, Ali Gulec has developed a reputation for creating thought-provoking imagery that combines traditional illustration techniques with modern computer imaging. His portfolio is extensively centered around the human skull, a motif he reimagines through various creative lenses, including digital collage, psychedelic patterns, and intricate floral arrangements. One of his most significant bodies of work is 'The Message' series, an evolving collection initiated in 2010. This project features skull-themed pieces such as Bloom Skull, Floral Skull, and Vintage Skull, designed to resonate with the personal reflections of each observer.
