Alberto Zoina: Theatre Director and Mixed Media Artist
Alberto Zoina is an established Italian artist and theatre director with a diverse career spanning several decades. Born in 1954, Alberto Zoina pursued studies in History and Philosophy in Florence before specializing in graphic and scenic design at the Accademia di Belle Arti. His creative path was significantly shaped by a scholarship to Poland, where he studied under Jozef Szajna, fostering a lifelong interest in the intersection of figurative arts and performance. In 1987, Alberto Zoina founded the Teatro dell’Invenzione, an independent theatre company based in Tuscany that produced shows for young audiences and managed educational activities across Italy and internationally. Beyond his theatrical direction, Alberto Zoina is a prolific illustrator and plastic artist, creating works for stage sets, editorial publications, and independent exhibitions. He has held leadership roles in cultural programming, including at the Teatro Comunale di Vicchio and the Piccolo Museo delle Meraviglie. Currently based in Chieti, Alberto Zoina animates the activities of the Atelier Punto di Fuga, a solidarity-based gallery and workspace. His recent projects include the 'Almanacco del Minotauro' collage series and 'Le Radiostorie' on Spotify, reflecting his ongoing dedication to multimedia storytelling and visual experimentation.
