Agustina Fuster: Contemporary Painting, Photography, and Surrealist Visual Arts

Agustina Fuster is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Argentina, whose practice bridges the gap between traditional painting, photography, and graphic design. Having studied Graphic Design at FADU, Agustina Fuster has developed a unique visual language characterized by a search for personal sensibility and the integration of surrealist elements into everyday scenes. Her work frequently investigates the interplay between reality and illusion, often utilizing mirrors and reflections to fragment and multiply images. This investigation extends into her exploration of the relationship between figure and background, where she seeks to reveal what is typically invisible by dismantling the boundaries of figuration. In her artistic process, Agustina Fuster navigates between different mediums, from the expressive nature of oil painting on canvas to the spontaneity of analog photography and the precision of digital landscapes. Her paintings invite the viewer to navigate a distorted scenography where objects and surroundings merge. Themes of distortion, fluidity, and the limits of representation are central to her practice, seeking to disorient the viewer and challenge their visual perception. Beyond her studio work, Agustina Fuster has engaged in muralism and has been featured in international galleries, including exhibitions in Santa Fe and Buenos Aires. Her work continues to evolve as she explores the endless possibilities that reflection and fragmentation bring to contemporary visual art.
