Adam Sprague: Contemporary Visual Artist and Multidisciplinary Designer

Adam Sprague is a multifaceted American-born visual artist and designer who currently lives and works in the Netherlands. His artistic practice is deeply rooted in the investigation of consciousness, perception, and identity, utilizing a wide range of mediums including painting, performance, sound, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Adam Sprague holds a BFA summa cum laude in Studio Arts with a focus on Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking, as well as a BA in Art History from the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design at Georgia State University. Throughout his career, which includes significant professional experience in Atlanta, Georgia, he has developed a body of work that bridges traditional studio techniques with experimental and research-based projects. His portfolio includes notable series such as Escitalopram and F O O L, the latter being a collaborative art and sound experience. Adam Sprague has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Mark Phillips Scholarship and the Vera Jernigan Green Memorial Art Award. His work has been exhibited in various venues such as the Doraville Art Center, MintATL, and the Georgia State University Library. Beyond his personal practice, he operates as an independent consultant under Little Deer Creative Consultants and has served as the Chief Layout Editor for Grey Matters. By blending academic rigor with artistic exploration, Adam Sprague continues to challenge the boundaries of visual storytelling and sensory experience.
